Purple Trang Rice
Khao Bao Yod Muang Trang is brown rice with two-colored seed coats, red and white, similar to glutinous rice. It is a healthy rice with characteristics such as high protein, low carbohydrates, antioxidants and anti-aging agents. It has a high amount of niacin (vitamin B3) and red rice grains have zero percent sugar. It is a rice that hospital nutritionists recommend for patients, especially diabetic patients, because it has a low Glycemic Index. Khao Bao Yod Muang Trang has been registered as the third GI Geographical Indication product of Trang Province.
